Founders

Namugenyi Florence & Asiimwe David

Asiimwe David and his mother, Namugenyi Florence, are the dedicated founders of the Allone Mumyuka Foundation (AMF). David is a Christian, farmer, and psychologist who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Makerere University, while Florence is a Christian, tailor, and farmer. They hail from the slums of Nansana in Wakiso District.

Both mother and son grew up in extreme poverty, with David, the eldest son, witnessing his mother’s relentless commitment to helping the poor, despite their own challenging circumstances. Florence extended her generosity to poor and disadvantaged children, including orphans, by sharing food from her garden and providing shelter in their home, which they tragically lost due to an unpaid bank loan.

Florence's unwavering faith and compassionate heart have been a major inspiration for David. The Bible guides their mission with verses such as Romans 12:13, "Contribute to the needs of God’s people, and welcome strangers into your home," and Hebrews 13:16, "Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have because God is pleased with these kinds of sacrifices."

As a single mother, Florence has faced numerous struggles but has dedicated her life to ministering for God’s kingdom. The hardships they endured taught them the values of love, unity, and sharing.

Witnessing his mother’s hard work in the garden and tailoring to provide for children, David became a hardworking young man, now actively involved in the day to day works of the foundation.

"Thank you so much for inspiring me, mother," says David. Together, they have devoted their lives to ministering through charity, embodying the spirit of giving and compassion at the heart of the Allone Mumyuka Foundation.
